NAME: Machi Kuragi
CANON: Fruits Basket
AGE: 16 (during the Second Year Arc) - 17 (during the Third Year Arc). Flexible in age for memes/psls.
HEIGHT / WEIGHT: 5'3" / Unknown
OCCUPATION: 2nd year High School Student, Treasurer on the Student Council.
PERSONALITY:
Striving to please her mother's ambitions for the 'perfect' daughter Machi did obediently as she was told. And then when her mother was finished with her Machi found herself at a confused and unsure where to go from there. Who was she beyond her mother's demands? Her mother dubbed her personality as "dull" and wrote her off as a complete loss. How do you consider a person a loss when they tried to be what you wished from them?
Now Machi is moving forward on the path of discovering herself for the first time. Her favorite color, her favorite food and what it's like to love and be loved in return -- everything is a blank slate she doesn't even understand. Slowly the broken doll she always saw herself as is turning human and it's both an exciting and frightening experience.

APPEARANCE
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Machi is quite striking as far as appearances go. Her typical even expression combined with her almond shaped eyes and neat haircut gives her the appearance of aristocratic beauty. Perhaps it's this combined with her demeanor that leads so many who don't know her to think she thinks of herself as above them all.
She tends to dress very conservatively when not in her school uniform, choosing long skirts and dresses over pants and longer sleeves over shorter.
AURAL: Machi's Japanese VA is Ai Kakuma and her English VA is Caitlin Glass.
I tend to hear Caitlin Glass' voice more but whichever VA you go with Machi typically speaks in an even, calm monotone regularly. When she's feeling a lot of emotions she tends to get softer and more timid in her tone versus when she's worked up and can yell with the best of them.
OLFACTORY: Machi is very utilitarian in her scent choices when it comes to soap/shampoo. She doesn't go for any special scents (such as fruits or honey) and generally simply smells clean. As she learns more about herself and experiments more she'll likely still pick up soft scents. Gentler floral scents are her favorites.
DEMEANOUR: Quite a few people at school seem to view Machi as stuck up. She rarely speaks to them, says things very bluntly and in a flat tone and tends to always have a flat expression. The general opinion among the girls in particular seems to be that she views herself as above all of them.
As she begins opening up though Machi comes off as surprisingly kind. She notices things others don't and will often act without speaking her thoughts aloud.
